Chitwan National Park is one of the most popular and well-known place for Jungle Safari in Nepal, located 155km south from capital city of Kathmandu. The park is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site and it is home of some rare and endanger pieces of wildlife including Royal Bengal Tiger and one horn Rhinoceros. The National was established in 1973 conservation orders were put in place to protect the remaining endangered animals found there and in 1984 it became a UNESCO World Heritage site.
You can reach to Chitwan National Park 5-6 hours bus journey from Kathmandu/Pokhara or reserved private transfer. The nearest Airport is located in Bharatpur 10 kilometers away from Sauraha. Sauraha is a small town located just outside of Chitwan National Park, where all the Lodges and Restaurants are Located and all your activities begin from there.
