Discover Nepal Tours are complete package tours giving you the opportunity to discover the major historical, cultural, architectural, religious, and natural aspects of Nepal. On one of these tours you will explore the ancient palaces, religious sites, and villages where traditional cultural practices are still observed.
Your tour starts in the Kathmandu Valley where you will explore royal palaces, Hindu and Buddhist temples, and narrow streets full of beautiful old architecture. As you explore the city you will have the opportunity to experience many aspects of Nepali culture and life.
The tour continues to the scenic lakeside city of Pokhara, located 200km west of Kathmandu at an altitude of 800m. This charming city is famous for its dramatic views of snow-capped mountains, such as the 8000m high Annapurna-I and Dhaulagiri. Pokhara sightseeing includes a boat ride on Phewa Lake, a trip to Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Devi's Falls, Seti Gorge, and a drive to the Peace Temple for a stunning view of the Pokhara valley and surrounding mountains. Pokhara is also the home of the International Mountain Museum where you will see exhibits on such things as the history and geography of the Himalayas, Nepal’s various mountain peoples, and the history of mountaineering.
After Pokhara we drive to Lumbini where Gautama Buddha was born (around 623 B.C.). Lumbini is arguably the most historically, religiously and culturally important places in Nepal, and one of the four major Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Lumbini is one of the major pilgrimage sites for Buddhists and receives thousands of pilgrims and visitors from all over the world.
After Lumbini, we travel to Chitwan National Park. This park is home to a wide variety of mammals, reptiles, and birds. It is recognized as one of the best preserved conservation areas in Asia. A jungle safari in Chitwan provides an thrilling opportunity to see the wildlife at close range. You can choose an elephant safari, jeep drive, boat ride, or nature walk under the guidance of expert naturalists. Each trip is unique, as one never knows what will show up: a bear, a herd of deer, a flock of peacocks, Langur monkeys in the treetops, or a pair of rhinos browsing. Some lucky guests get to see the elusive tiger prowling among the tall grass. Surrounded by greenery and natural sounds, the jungle is a great escape from urban life.
