The tour begins from capital city of Kathmandu, a city of diverse cultural and religious histories. You will visit ancient royal palaces, Hindu and Buddhist temples, and narrow streets full of beautiful old architecture.
After Kathmandu we travel 200 kilometers to the west, to the lakeside city of Pokhara. This delightful city is famous for its splendid views of mountains, such as the 8000m high Annapurna-I and Dhaulagiri. Pokhara is also known for its International Mountain Museum which contains exhibits on the history and geography of the Himalayas, the history of mountaineering, and Nepal’s various mountain peoples.
From Pokhara the tour continues on to Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha. Lumbini is an important religious, cultural, and historical place. It is one of the four major Buddhist pilgrimage sites. It receives thousands of pilgrims from all over the world and is one of the most scared of all Buddhist holy sites.
After Lumbini the tour takes you to Chitwan National Park, recognized as the best preserved conservation area in Asia. Chitwan is habitat for a wide range of mammals, reptiles, and birds. A jungle safari in Chitwan will provide you with an excellent opportunity to see some of these creatures at close range.
