After Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary successfully climbed the world’s highest Peak, Mount Everest, 8848 meters in 1953, and then the commercial mountaineering began in Nepal. Best Time for Expedition in Nepal
It is important to choose the right time for Nepal’s mountaineering expedition and return safely after a successful ascent. Currently, the critical natural and seasonal challenges of climbing the Himalayan Peaks higher than 7000/8000 meters have been made much easier due to modern man-made technology to reduce the risks like wind speed, avalanches, temperature. The specific topography, elevation, and characteristics of mountains of the Himalayas refer to the different times of the year for safe and successful Expedition. Blossom Expeditions recommend the autumn (September till November) season as the best time for 7000m to 8000m peaks and spring (March till May) for above 8000m. Any mountain below 8000m can be climbed in both spring and autumn seasons too.

The Experience require for Mountaineering in Nepal
To climb the Himalayan Peak in Nepal, definitely you need previous experience. Depending on what mountain you chose to climb, regarding that, you should have done Trekking, climbing, and training. Nepal has many categories of mountains for climbing. You can select according to your ability, time, and skill. Your physical fitness and mental strength are highly required. The choices are huge, from easy Trekking Peak (5550m to 6500m) and a more thrilling expedition above 6500m to the world’s highest Peak Mount Everest 8845.86m. The climbing routes on the expeditions in Nepal are on moderately angled snow slopes to overhang Ices and vertical Rocks. We use a Rope group on a glacier to avoid the risk of crevasses and for a section of Snow, Ice, and Rock use a fixed Rope for safety.

The climbing involves scrambling, Rock climbing, Ice climbing, and overhang climbing. We have the best team leaders, experience personal guides, and staff.
