Muktinath tour is a combination of pilgrimage and begins of adventure tourism. The trip covers the Pokhara area to the trans-Himalayan valley towards Muktinath and the area known as Mukti Kshetra (the place of liberation). A 25-minute mountain flight from Pokhara to Jomsom flies over the valleys of Mt. Annapurna and Dawalagiri and provides truly amazing views of both sides. After a two-hour jeep drive from Jomsom, we reach Ranipauwa 3800m. The next morning when you discover the sky clear and spectacular mountain views, then you will know you are on your special journey to Muktinath. Muktinath is of religious importance to both Hindus and Buddhists. The main shrine of Muktinath is a pagoda-shaped temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. In the walls surrounding it are 108 waterspouts. The Jwala Mai temple nearby has a spring and an eternal flame fed by natural gas. The Muktinath temple sets an example of religious tolerance being worshiped by different religions in the same shrine (i.e. Hindu, Buddhist, and Bon).

Muktinath tour starts from Kathmandu Valley where we explore magnificent palaces, ancient Hindu and Buddhist temples, and streets full of interesting traditional architecture. As you explore the city you will have the opportunity to experience many aspects of Nepali culture and life. You will visit the beautiful and peaceful lakeside resort of Pokhara, located 200km west of Kathmandu at an altitude of 800m. Pokhara is famous for its dramatic views of snow-capped mountains including the 8000m high Annapurna-I and Dhaulagiri. Pokhara sightseeing includes a boat ride on Phewa Lake, Gopteswar Mahadev Cave, Devi’s Falls, and drive to the Peace Pagoda for a stunning view of the Pokhara valley and surrounding mountains. Pokhara is also the home of the International Mountain Museum where you will see displays about mountain people from all over the world, the history and geography of the Himalayas, and the history of mountaineering.
