Langtang Gosainkunda Trek is a short and easy trek suitable for anyone who wants to get the best experience of trekking in Nepal’s Himalaya. Accompanied by the breathtaking view of mountain ranges and the rural settlements of the Langtang region, this trek combines the cultural and natural adventures into one. The holy lakes, silent forests, and breathtaking scenery make Langtang Gosainkunda Trek one of the best adventures here in Nepal.
The fourteen-day trek only takes you up to a maximum height of 4610 meters. Along the trekking route, there are many small settlements of Tamang and Sherpa where people welcome you with beaming smiles and a Namaste. The silent waves of the River follow your first part of the trip as you walk through the lush jungles of Langtang National Park.
Blossom of Rhododendron and other wildflowers make the trek colorful, and the chilly air flowing from the mountains always keeps you on the edge of excitement. Kyangin Ri, Gosaikunda Lake, and the Yak cheese farms are some of the highlights of the trek. Located near the Gosainkunda Pass, Gosainkunda Lake showcases the magical beauty of this trek.
The spectacular mirror-like surface of the lake reflects the shadow of the mountain ranges above, making the scene even more magical. As you gaze up, you will see the beautiful panoramic view of Himalayan Peaks like Langtang Lirung, Kangchhenpo, Naya Kanga, Yala Peak, Dorje Lakpa, and many more.
The best season for trekking along the Langtang Gosainkunda trekking route is the time between September to December (autumn) or March to May (spring). You can also enjoy the festivities of Janai Purnima in the monsoon. But, you should stay aware of the pouring rain and slippery roads.
