Bhasmasur Hill, located in the southern part of the Kathmandu Valley, is the third tallest hill around Kathmandu and probably the best viewpoint near Kathmandu City. Splendid Himalayan ranges from Annapurna in the west and the world’s highest peak Mount Everest in the east can be seen from the top of the Bhasmasur Hill. The incredible view of the Mahabharata hill ranges and Kathmandu valley can be observed.
Comparatively, the level of Day Hiking to Bhasmasur is tougher. Very few people know and go hiking in this destination and the path is very steep uphill and downhill followed by stone steps. But the trail is well maintained, and clean comparing other areas. The beautiful forest provides a great opportunity to see many varieties of birds and you may encounter other wildlife animals. As you climb higher, the view of the Kathmandu valley and the panoramic mountains view open up. For those who are interested in a long-distance adventure in the future, this day hike can be very suitable for training and at the same time, you enjoy the beauty of nature.
