A Challenging Trekking Peak in the Annapurna Region
Chulu West Peak is one of the most stunning climbing peaks in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Moreover, it offers a serious and rewarding mountaineering challenge for adventure seekers who wish to explore the remote and dramatic landscapes of the Annapurna region.

Chulu West Peak is situated in a secluded valley, approximately a two-day trek north of Manang. From the summit, climbers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas, including the Annapurna range, Manaslu, and several majestic peaks extending into Tibet.

As one of the most challenging trekking peaks in Nepal, Chulu West Peak Climbing requires strong personal commitment, and therefore prior trekking or climbing experience is essential. However, to ensure safety and success, we conduct special climbing training sessions at the base camp before the actual ascent. These sessions are led by our experienced and certified climbing guides and include comprehensive instruction on the proper use of climbing equipment. After completing the training, climbers gain the skills and confidence necessary for a safe and successful summit experience.

Highlights of Chulu West Peak Climbing Itinerary
The Chulu West Peak expedition and trek begin from the village of Chame, which is reached by an 8–9 hour jeep drive from Kathmandu. From Chame, the trail follows the classic Annapurna Circuit Trek route all the way to Manang, where a rest and acclimatization day is spent. After acclimatization, the journey continues north toward Chulu West Base Camp, where another day is dedicated to altitude adaptation and final climbing training.

The Chulu West route to the summit follows the northwest ridge, offering an exciting and technically demanding climb. From the summit, climbers enjoy truly spectacular views of the snow-covered peaks of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges, making the ascent an unforgettable Himalayan experience.

After successfully summiting Chulu West Peak, the trek continues across the iconic Thorong La Pass (5,416m). This high mountain pass provides stunning views of both the Manang Valley and the Mustang region. Once over the pass, the trail descends into the Kali Gandaki Valley and the arid yet beautiful landscapes of Lower Mustang.

Cultural Highlights and Trek Conclusion
The trek passes through culturally rich towns such as Muktinath and Kagbeni. In Muktinath, climbers visit the sacred temple where Hindus, Buddhists, and Bon practitioners worship together, representing a remarkable example of religious harmony. Finally, the Chulu West Peak Climbing adventure concludes at Jomsom, from where you can fly or drive to Pokhara.
