Note: In the peak season (March–May and October–November), most Lukla flights operate from Ramechhap (Manthali) due to increased air traffic in Kathmandu airport. It is about 135 km east of Kathmandu and takes a 3–4 hour drive. To avoid a very early departure from Kathmandu, adding one extra day will make your journey more comfortable and less stressful.
