Around the Kathmandu Valley, there are plenty of beautiful day hiking destinations. And Lakuri Bhanjyang is one of them. You can see a 160˚ view of Kathmandu Valley and a panoramic view of the Great Himalayan. You can start the hike from different places. But we usually start from Dadhikot. The trail is less crowded and more scenic. Within the 15-minute walk, the view gets absolutely stunning, and that continues throughout the hike. You will see the countryside, beautiful villages, terraced farmland and experience the local life and food. It is also a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city for a day.

Trip Itinerary

he Lakuri Bhanjyang Day hike takes approximately 6-7 hours and starts from Dadhikot after a short drive from Kathmandu city center. The trail goes through beautiful landscapes with spectacular views, all the way to Lakuri Bhanjyang. From there heading east, following dirt road track to Ranikot. Hiking along the ridge provides amazing views on both sides and lots of photo opportunities. From Ranikot we descend to Ghyampe Danda and continue to descend to Suryabinayak via Pilot Baba Ashram.
