This short and sweet Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is designed for those who have a short vacation and don’t have a longer time for trekking in Nepal Himalaya. The trek is one of the most beautiful adventure journeys in the foothills of the Annapurna region. Trekking through the traditional Nepali villages could be a great opportunity for learning Nepali daily life and culture. The trek offers spectacular views of both agricultural and mountain landscapes.

The trek starts from Tirkhedunga after two hours drive from Pokhara. The trail passes through picturesque Gurung and Magar villages and forests of rhododendron and oak. Ghandruk is the largest Gurung village in the area and was once the headquarters of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project that maintained the Annapurna region as one of the best-conserved eco-tourism destinations in Nepal.

Poon Hill is one of the finest viewpoints in western Nepal. It offers a huge panoramic mountain view of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu ranges and a beautiful sunrise view in the morning.
