The trek begins at Tikhedhunga, reached by a scenic two-hour drive from Pokhara. The trail leads through terraced farmlands, forests, and charming Gurung and Magar villages. A major highlight is the ascent of over 3,000 stone steps to Ulleri, continuing to Ghorepani (2,874m), a resting point before the sunrise hike.

The highlight of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is the early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,193m), one of the best sunrise viewpoints in Nepal. Known as the Annapurna Sunrise Trek, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu mountain ranges.
