What Is the Annapurna Mulde Peak Trek?
The Annapurna Mulde Peak Trekking is an incredibly scenic extension of the classic Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, offering a perfect mix of popular viewpoints and quieter, off-the-beaten-path trails in the Annapurna Region. This short and highly satisfying trek features breathtaking Himalayan panoramas, including the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu ranges, from Poon Hill (3,193m) and Mulde Peak (3,637m).
Beyond the magnificent mountain scenery, the trek provides a rich cultural experience. You pass through typical and picturesque Gurung and Magar villages, walk along terraced farmlands, and witness authentic rural life in Nepal’s mid-hills. Lush rhododendron forests, peaceful trails, and warm local hospitality make this journey both visually beautiful and culturally meaningful.
Brief Mulde Peak Trek Itinerary
The journey begins in Pokhara with a short and scenic drive to Tirkhedhunga, then follows the Ghorepani trail through Ulleri and Banthati, gradually ascending through lush forests to Ghorepani. A sunrise hike to Poon Hill offers panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, the Annapurna flank, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, and Manaslu.
The trail then heads toward Thapla Danda and Deurali before leaving the main route. A steady climb through alpine forests leads to Mulde Peak, a peaceful viewpoint with 360-degree Himalayan views, including the Kali Gandaki and Modi Khola valleys.
Why Visit Jhinu Danda Hot Springs?
The return route passes Tadapani and reaches Jhinu Danda, where natural hot springs beside the Modi Khola River provide the perfect place to relax after the trek. The journey ends with a scenic drive back to Pokhara.
Blossom Expeditions offers expertly designed Mulde Peak Trek itineraries, ideal for travelers seeking a short, scenic, and culturally rich Himalayan adventure.
