This 14-day Everest Base Camp Trek itinerary begins with an exciting and scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. From here, the trail follows the Dudh Koshi Valley through beautiful Sherpa villages such as Phakding, Monjo, Namche Bazaar, Khumjung/Kunde, and Pangboche.
Along the journey, you will explore important cultural sites, including Tengboche, Khumjung, and Pangboche monasteries, while enjoying breathtaking Himalayan views and a close encounter with the Khumbu Glacier. A key acclimatization stop at Dingboche includes a hike to Nangkartsang Peak (5,083m), offering jaw-dropping panoramas of Mount Lhotse, Makalu, Island Peak, Ama Dablam, and more.

Note: In the peak season (March–May and October–November), most Lukla flights operate from Ramechhap (Manthali) due to increased air traffic in Kathmandu airport. It is about 135 km east of Kathmandu and takes a 3–4 hour drive. To avoid a very early departure from Kathmandu, adding one extra day will make your journey more comfortable and less stressful.
